New Study out of MIT: Analysis of CDC V-safe data on prolonged health impacts following COVID-19 vaccination

Retsef Levi, an MIT professor at the Sloan School of Management, recently coauthored an analysis of the CDC’s V-safe vaccine safety database. The study analyzed responses from approximately 9.9 million V-safe participants who received COVID-19 vaccines. Key findings:

  • About 1.87% of participants reported a health deterioration lasting three months or longer that they attributed to COVID-19 vaccination.
  • Roughly half of those individuals (about 1% of all participants) characterized their outcome as severe, including inability to work, difficulty performing daily activities, hospitalization, or potentially disabling symptoms.
  • Frequently reported symptoms included fatigue, headache, joint pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, chest pain, palpitations, nausea, insomnia, tinnitus, and other multi-system complaints. [publicheal…ournal.com]
