Useful Websites

I have found the websites listed below to be valuable sources of information. Note, however, that it is unwise to rely on any single news source; I try to obtain information from multiple sources that are managed by people who are demonstrably competent and of high integrity. If I know that a news outlet has offered false information in the past (and does not acknowledge the fault/error), I view that source as unreliable and untrustworthy. Click here for an example of the reporting of false information during the 2007-2009 financial crisis (and not owning it) contrasted with a person who tried to report honestly. I also follow news from mainstream media–some helpful information can be gleaned from traditional news sources, but it is necessary to triangulate with other sources so as not to be misinformed. I try my best to use logic and consider the veracity of arguments from different perspectives…I use my own thinking to sort through as best I can. No single person has it all right, but there is wisdom in the collective assessment of many truthful and competent people. My list is not comprehensive; other sources are of value as well. Be prepared to work hard to gain an improved knowledge base.
