Carnivore is a fanatical right-wing, male diet, right?

“The media shoehorns carnivore into a culture-war narrative, far from the truth.”

“Consider Angela Parsons, a mother of three, who at age 46 suffered from pain so excruciating she could hardly get out of bed. “I thought I’d be stuck at home watching TV all day while my family moved on,” she told me. “I just didn’t understand why I was so, so sick, even though I was doing everything I could to be better.” She took supplements, tried diets including vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, Mediterranean, paleo, and keto, but she says, “Nothing was working. Honestly, I just didn’t want to live anymore.” Parsons did not want to be carnivore. “It took me several years to get my head around the idea, because I truly believed that fruits and vegetables are good.” The turning point for her was watching a video that explained how oxalates, a crystal-like substance in some fruits and vegetables, can build up in the body and cause arthritis, hormonal issues, and brain fog among many other problems. “That’s what did it for me,” she said. Parsons gave up all plant foods. And here’s a list of the health issues she resolved: gout, tennis elbow, severe dry eyes, unquenchable thirst, kidney pain, dry skin, dry mouth, hypercalcemia, high DHEA (an adrenal hormone), high testosterone, premenstrual syndrome, headaches, poor sleep, intermittent carpal tunnel syndrome, plantar fasciitis, HEDS (Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome), osteoarthritis, venous insufficiency, degenerative myopia, and depression. She also dropped more than 4 dress sizes in 15 months.”
