President Trump stated that the $600 to be sent to individuals was too little, suggesting that $2000 was more appropriate, given the struggles people have endured due to the lockdown policies. Trump has threatened to veto the legislation. The Democrats support the increase but Republicans object. While the legislation is very important given that the struggle many families are experiencing, I view this as kind of a “show” or distraction….I try not to lose track of issues such as deployment of vaccines and COVID travel passports, the move to digital currencies, and the Great Reset.

Governments and airlines are quickly moving forward to implement paper and digital COVID passports that will be required for travel. This article discusses how the United Kingdom has already contracted with firms to develop the passport systems:

I expect COVID passports and likely vaccination requirements to be the norm for travel…hopefully market competition will provide strong incentives for some travel companies to provide services (legally and perhaps underground) without such requirements for the many who do not wish to comply with such coercive actions.

The graph below from the Federal Reserve shows that the velocity of money (a measure of the flow of financial assets in the economy) hovered around 1.8 since the 1960, rose to as high as 2.2 in the late 1990s, and has since fallen:

Note the collapse in money velocity in 2020. As the Federal Reserve expanded its money printing this year, the number of times financial assets exchanged hands dropped from about 1.4 to 1.1, which is a 21% decline. Why isn’t the newly created money flowing in and through the economy? Where are those financial assets sitting?

Keep in mind that the spending bill is dependent on the Federal Reserve’s agreement to provide support via money printing. My rough guess is that at least $1 trillion of the spending package will be funded by the Fed through government bond purchases. Without such support, the government would have to raise interest rates to attract bond buyers, which in turn would lead to an increase in government interest payments as well as reduce the value of investment portfolios and pension funds that hold government securities. The financial system needs money printing in order to sustain itself…for how long can we continue such an approach?

Because this group is backed by very wealthy and influential people/organizations, it is important to understand their vision for the future and then decide whether this is the future you want.
