Alison McDowell’s Email to Yu Yuan, President of IEEE Standards Association Sent December 8, 2022

“Dear Yu Yuan, I disagree with your ideas about coding a new digital universe, because I know that baked into the structure of it will be plans for bets to be placed on human futures by AI portfolio traders like BlackRock’s Aladdin computer through social impact finance schemes. I also know that high-level behavioral psychology has been encoded into the “good behavior” nudges that will come with programmable public benefits and digital community currencies. I am coming to see that this is all tied to genetic algorithms and complex adaptive systems theory managed through artificial tokenized economies brought to scale. No cybernetic emergence or “Game B” for me, thank you.”
