Natural Immunity From Omicron Infection Provides 76.1% Protection Against Omicron Subvariants, Study Show

“Scientists in Qatar have found that people who were infected with the Omicron variant of SARS-CoV-2 had 76.1% protection against symptomatic reinfection from Omicron subvariants BA.4 and BA.5 and 80% shielding from any SARS-CoV-2 reinfection—regardless of symptoms—according to a new preprint study posted (https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2022.07.11.22277448v1) on July 12, 2022.”
